A few things
1. It's like pulling teeth getting people you don't normally do stuff with to actually do stuff with you. Sometimes it gets absurd. Most annoying is when someone makes plans and then doesn't pick up the phone when I call to follow through on them. I mean, at least just call to say you don't feel like doin' shit.
2. Watched The Shining with my friend, Victoria a couple days ago. That was a good night, even if it was sort of uneventful and the half of it before that part was spent trying to get people to do something.
3. Missed Comadre last night. Wish I hadn't. I really wasn't feeling like doing much, but that's a sort of lame excuse.
4. I'm bored as hell right now.
5. DS party/vegan night tomorrow night. I'm stoked.
6. I sort of should get a cell phone, but if I do, I'll probably get rid of the computer. I don't think I could stand being that connected. But then, I might surprise myself and turn into yet another douchebag with a cell phone and a laptop. The idea of that scares the hell out of me. Also, I don't want to pay a phone bill every month when I can just use my parents' line for free when I'm at home.
7. I really need to get laid. I feel like my dick is going to atrophy and fall off if this unintentional celibacy doesn't end soon. Last time I did was in like... 2007? Maybe earlier? I was thinking 2005, for some reason but that doesn't sound right. But see what I mean? Even then, it was incredibly unsatisfying for everyone involved 'cause the last time was my second time.
8. The Record Exchange only got in like 5 copies of the new Animal Collective album. This is bumming me out, hard because I didn't get one of them.
9. Most tattoos are hideous. There. It's been said. I mean, it's your body and all, but I get the feeling a lot of people are going to wish they'd exercised a little restraint in about twenty years. I'm just glad I was broke over the years when I didn't want to exercise that same restraint, myself.
10. Oh, speaking of DS parties, Mike's is pink too. I'm even more stoked on that.
Shit's not all bad, though. It's just boring, and I'm sort of tired of being left alone with my thoughts lately, since I have to get really stoned to make any of them happy thoughts.

It was originally going to be some acoustic guy, All Systems Fail, and then Comadre. All Systems Fail didn't play (I don't know why), but 2 bands just showed up and asked to play and an extra acoustic guy was thrown in there for good measure. All openers were terrible except for the second acoustic guy. He even threw in a Catharsis cover that was rad as hell.
Comadre were fun as fuck. I love when I see really good bands play. Everything is just so tight and flawless and just embarrasses everyone they shared the stage with. Good dudes, too. I could've talked to them all night, but I felt like I was intruding because I didn't know the owners of the house so I left.

I dig Dylan, but have lately been into blonde on blonde and 'leopard skin pillbox hat'.
i don't have the money for a record collection, and I don't know how I could show you my music collection, because most of the time I consume it on my ipod or the computer..
Also, Deerhunter is really great. I still need to pick up the new album on vinyl. All I've got is a promo CD copy that I got like last summer and it's missing the bonus album that they put in with it. Did you dig that stuff?

Recently I've been introduced to Gil Scott-Heron and Flying Lotus, two different but great artists.
I really like the Rockenrolla soundtrack, especially the "I'm a man" song, by Black Strobe.
808s and Heartbreak by Kanye, although it took me a while to get into it, and I can't exactly group it with my other hip hop.
And the album with the highest play count on my ipod is Abbe May, Howl and Moan, whom I absolutely love and play all the time..
What about you, what have you been playing lately?
I've been sort of all over the place lately. Willie Nelson's double live album and Whipped Cream and Other Delights by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass have been in pretty heavy rotation, and I've been listening to In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel and all Elliott Smith's albums a lot more lately, after kinda playing them out a couple years ago. I've also been listening to the first Mammatus album a lot.
I've also been digging the hell out of Stars of the Lid.
I really dig that Eluvium album I ganked off Erik's computer, too.
