23 years old. Vegan. Proud atheist. Music actually is my life. Lots of people say that, but it's actually true for very few of them. I play in two bands, write about mostly heavy music that no one else wants to listen to for the TOTALLY AWESOME website, We Heart Music (which is hosted right here on Vox!), and attend more shows and buy more records than most normal people would consider "healthy." Most of my friends are musicians and people with oversized record collections. I thought your favorite band sucked before they were big, and you've never heard of mine.

I'm actually a nice enough dude (a bit of a smartass, though). Considering I prefer moshpits to hugs, and giant fire breathing snakes with pentagrams carved into their foreheads to cute, fluffy bunnies, it might come as a surprise that I actually do believe in nonviolence, compassion, and respect for all living things, even those that aren't human.

Vegan Outreach - Read up on veganism. This site takes more of a "no bullshit" approach than PETA. I feel it's better for the animal rights movement to focus on spreading facts and dispelling myths, rather than on the opinions of boring celebrities, and mindless shock advertising.
